The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) are a set of principles developed to encourage the business world to support gender equality and promote the empowerment of women in all sectors and at all levels. These seven principles, developed in collaboration between the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact, provide the private sector with a roadmap based on global standards for gender equality.
The WEPs aim not only to increase women’s participation in the workforce, but also to promote their representation in leadership roles, equal pay policies, zero tolerance for harassment and discrimination, and the creation of inclusive corporate cultures.

CLARITY BY BUREAU VERITAS is a certification program developed by Bureau Veritas and used to assess sustainability and ethical production practices in the textile sector. This certification aims to independently and impartially assess and report on textile companies’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance.
This certification contributes to Tekstar creating a reliable brand image among conscious consumers by guaranteeing that its products are of the highest quality and sustainable.
Global Recycled Standard Certification
This independent certification is designed to verify and track the content of recycled materials used in Tekstar’s products.The GRS certificate ensures that the recycled materials used in Tekstar’s products are traced from source to end product and that the use of harmful chemicals is restricted. It also promotes fair labor practices and social responsibility in production processes.
Global organic textile standart (GOTS)
This international certification confirms that 100% of the raw materials used in Tekstar’s products are organic, that production processes meet the highest environmental and social standards, and that there is transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain.
The GOTS certificate covers textile products made from organic cotton, linen, wool, and other organic fibers in Tekstar’s product portfolio. This certification ensures that the organic fibers used in Tekstar’s products are traced from source to end product and that the use of harmful chemicals is restricted. Recycled Blended Claim Standard (RBCS)
Recycled Blended Claim Standard (RBCS) is a standard that certifies a textile product contributes to recycling. This standard determines the recycled content in the products and the percentage of this content. Tekstar encourages the use of recycled content in its products in line with its sustainability approach, and therefore holds the RBCS certification.

GLC International is a leading certification body in environmental and social responsibility standards. Tekstar has obtained significant certifications such as the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) through this organization. These certifications demonstrate that Tekstar promotes the use of recycled and organic materials in its production processes and ensures the traceability of these materials. Recycled 100 Claim Standard (RCS) Certificate
Tekstar once again demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by holding the Recycled 100 Claim Standard (RCS) certification. This certification ensures that our products contain at least 95% recycled content and that these contents are traceable and verified throughout the entire supply chain. Better Cotton Initiative
TEKSTAR uses only BCI Certified Cotton. This certificate indicates that the cotton producers in Tekstar’s supply chain are committed to environmental and social responsibility principles such as conserving water resources, improving soil health, using fewer chemicals, and adhering to fair labor practices.
As Tekstar, we support BCI in their efforts to enhance environmental health and the welfare of farmers in cotton production across 25 countries, including Turkey, where 2.4 million people are employed.
BSCI
